Production blog - MV

Today was our first day out filming as a group and overall, it went very well. Even though we have started filming late, we were pretty productive in the first day of filming that we have done. We decided to do it on Sunday just before school started because this was the only day so far that we had found that we were not all busy. We plan to place that we would be filming based off of where we all lived. Since we all lived in the same area, this made it very easy, and we decided on a local park. The second place of filming that we decided on because we needed a piano for one of our scenes was my house. But we ran into some complications throughout the day filming. The first complication was that we did not all get to the park at the same time because one of us had an emergency that they had to tend to, and it’s set back the Time by one and a half hours. This was a minor setback as we would still be able to get work done throughout the day, and as soon as everybody got there, and we were all ready to work once we did. Since none of us owned a high-quality camera that was meant for filming, we decided to use our iPhones because each of us had one. By using an iPhone for filming it made it easier for us to share the film. This overall made it easier to edit as we could get every single point of view from each phone. The first problem that we ran into at the park was that it was very hot out because of the weather around where we live, and this made it extremely hard to film because the conditions kept making us stop filming to get water. On top of this, this was a public facility. And that there were many other people at the park especially because it was a Sunday on the weekend. So, because of the amount of people at the park when we had the time in the film, we had to make do with what we had even though sometimes it been more difficult. Sometimes there would be a group of people in the background that would be particularly close to the shot and would make too much noise and affect the quality of the sound as well as the acting as we were filming. Particularly there was a little league football game happening at the park and there was a lot of distractions and noise coming from that area of the park. After we finish, filming at the park we decided to go get lunch before going to my house to begin using the piano to film. Everything in my house went quite smoothly and because my house was the last place that we had to film for the day and after this, we decided that on the next day of filming, we would be able to finish and get the rest of the film we needed. Overall, as a group this was a very productive day for filming, and we should not need to do as much more filming as we anticipated because of what we were able to accomplish today. Even though we did have some minor implications while filming, it was a very good day for production.
