Production blog – MV

Hello, everyone welcome back to my blog. Today was the first day of editing that we did. First thing that we did as a group is we started off by discussing how we wanted everything to work finally. However, we already knew that there was going to be at least two days of editing as we had multiple clips, and we knew that it was going to take more than the time that we had together. So, after understanding this, we decided that today we would cut each clip so they didn’t fit within the time requirement that we were going for. The time requirement thought we were going for was one minute and fifteen seconds. We decided on this time because we thought that it wouldn’t be too long in because compared to other music videos, It was relatively the same time. With this in mind, and the amount of clips that we have, we decided to cut each clip down to a certain amount of seconds. There will be a range of time for clip, but the average time was about seven seconds per clip. We did this because we film in a variety of scenes, including a park and two houses, which made us have a variety of clips and many of them. We each were assigned a certain amount of clips that we had to cut, and after that we would introduce them to the group after they were cut, and make sure that it all fit together with what each other was doing. Due to us making twelve scenes, we decided to split it up as four seasons per person to cut. All of the scenes that I was given were from the park. Nathaniel was given the ones that we made at his house. And Alex and had one clip of me and my house, and one clip of Nathaniel in his house, as well as having two clips of us filming at the park. The first time that we met together with our cut videos the time was one minute and twenty seconds, so we decided to go back into individual and cut a little bit more out of each clip. After going back into working with ourselves, I cut a total of three seconds out. Nathaniel was able to cut only one second out of his Clips and Alex was also able to cut one second out of his Clips. With us finishing this, we had exactly one minute and fiftenn seconds of cut clips. This concludes our first day of filming thank you for reading. The next day I’m filming we will most likely finish our music video.
