Final day filming
Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. After a short break due to all of us being busy with school and sports we are back and have finished our final day of filming. By the end of the filming day, we had completed all of the filming requires for our film. So, in total we know have all of our clips completed but unedited. To start today off, we picked up filming where we did last week and that was after the board game scene. Following this the first scene that we needed to do was in the kitchen of all of us there talking and thinking of idea to do in order to spice up the fun. The first problem of the day started when we had to figure out where to set up the camera, because all three of us had to be in the shot and didn't have a 4th person to film us, we needed to set it up at a somewhat eye level while still being close enough to hear us telling. We decided on using a thick book and the use of several smaller books piled on top of each other in order to hold the camera upright and not fall over and film us properly. After this we compared our script to what we were going to say while rehearsing. We found multiple spelling errors and decided to change some words around in each character's sentence to make everything flow better. After doing this and being happy with our lines we were saying, making sure they could be said properly and make sense, it was time to start rehearsing them. Upon starting this, we ran into a big problem, because this was one of the larger talking scenes, making it difficult to remember the lines. The second problem was that because we decided to change some of the lines around, it took us longer to learn then new lines, as we had all come prepared knowing our lines. This ended up taking up more time than we wanted too for this scene, but we eventually figured out all of our lines and the only downside was the amount of time we had spent doing this as we had limited time left before we all had to leave. The scenes after this where easy in the sense that most of them where short clips with lmiited dialogue. We began to film short clips of us looking for stuff to do in the most random and incomprehensible places while trying to add comedy in our effort to find something fun to do according to our script. We used the props we had previously set up, saving us time as we had wasted some time earlier, and began filming short clips of us looking for fun things to do in funny places such as under pillows, in flowerpots, glass cups, and cabinets. This then leads directly into our next scene where in the dining room of the house one of us discovered alcohol. Setting up the alcohol in advance made this very time efficient as if we didn't do it on the prop day, it would have hurt our time as right after we shot this scene, one of us had to leave. After this seen there was one conversation that was easily done and now all of clips were collected with that one being completed. Thank you for reading and up to this point we had all of our clips compiled and were ready to begin editing.
